the back forty mine
The Back Forty Mine is a proposed gold and zinc mine located in Menominee County in the South Central part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. *The mine is estimated to produce 692 thousand ounces of gold, 801 million pounds of zinc, 86 million pounds of copper, 6.26 million ounces of silver, and 26 million pounds of lead during operations.
Gold Resource Corporation is currently conducting an optimized feasibility study with the intention of being published in SK-1300 Technical Summary report the second half of 2022.
We will safely construct, operate, and eventually close the Back Forty Mine. We promise to provide domestic minerals, create new jobs, and boost the local economy, all while protecting the environment.
*Amounts processed and produced are per the August 2020 PEA published by Aquila Resources. Initial GRC site plans, including mine plan and process flow sheet, are subject to change as the feasibility study work continues with the Back Forty Project Team and Qualified Professionals. Additionally, the final construction decision is subject to approval by the Company’s Board of Directors.
