There will be three hiring phases of the mine – permitting, construction, and operations.
Permitting: We are currently working on an optimized feasibility study. Once completed, we will apply for the necessary permits to construct and operate the mine, During this time, employment opportunities are limited.
Construction: Once all required permits are obtained, construction will include roughly 350 laborers for two years. Examples of skilled trades that will be needed include ironworkers, painters, operators, electricians, pipefitters, and carpenters.
Operations: When fully operational, Back Forty Mine will employ an estimated 240 mining and business professionals, ranging from engineers, heavy equipment operators and maintenance technicians to accountants and human resource specialists. These full-time jobs will provide local workers the opportunity to boost their job skills and our region’s economy through production of the precious metals we use every day.
